Mission

Los Angeles County's Mobile Hospital is designed to provide a comprehensive level of patient care services during the recovery from a natural or man-made disaster, or any unexpected mass casualty incident. The delivery of life-saving treatment measures and comprehensive medical-surgical care in this type of setting is able to be provided in a clean, clinical environment. The deployment site should be adjacent to affected healthcare facility for logistical support.

Mobile Hospital System (Emergency room tractor/trailer plus tent hospital)

Overview

The Mobile Hospital System consists of two tractor-trailer units and a tent facility. Each facility is self contained and can be deployed together or independently of each other, depending on the type and scale of the incident. The first tractor-trailer serves as a 1,000 squar foot patient care facility. The support trailer holds much of the equipment that will be function in the treatment trailer. The tent hospital consists of (4) 25 person tents planned to shelter ambulatory or delayed patients.
